Dr. Parul Desai has practiced family medicine for over 13 years and joined Needham Wellesley Family Medicine in September 2010, when she and her family relocated to Massachusetts from Delaware.

Dr. Desai graduated with her bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude in 1991 from Cornell University.   In 1995, she graduated with honors in family medicine from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1998.  She is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.  Dr. Desai's clinical interests include pediatrics, women's health, and diabetes.

 

A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Desai has educated medical students from Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson Medical College, Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, and University of Massachusetts Medical School, as well as physician assistant students from Northeastern University. 

 

Dr. Desai grew up in New Jersey.  She loves spending her free time with her husband and their two children.
